The shop implements production of cylindrical homogenized aluminum ingots of various diameters. The melting and casting shop consists of 5 melting furnaces, machines for cylindrical blanks casting, homogenization furnaces.

Transport, construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and others. The combination of the physical properties of aluminum alloys depends on a number of factors. In particular, the addition of alloying elements to aluminum (copper, iron, silicon, magnesium, zinc, manganese, etc.) or their presence in the liquid bath has a significant effect on the characteristics of the alloys.

Almost all metals of the Periodic Table of Elements can be present in aluminum alloys, some as alloying elements, others as undesirable impurities.

Solid primary aluminum and aluminum scrap are melted in smelting furnaces at a temperature of 1050°C.

Therefore, the foundry-smelting production of aluminum alloys should include such operations as melting solid aluminum or aluminum scrap, adding alloying elements and mixing the melt in order to equalize the chemical composition and its temperature in the entire volume of the bath, cleaning the melt from non-metallic inclusions (filtration), and cleaning out unnecessary impurities (refining), removal of gases from the melt (degassing), obtaining from the melt ingots in the solid state (crystallization), transporting the melt from one about process equipment to another.
